On Saturday, March 22, 2025<\/strong>, religious men and women from across the Archdiocese of Kingston<\/strong> came together for a moving day of prayer and reflection<\/strong> at the Immaculate Conception Convent<\/strong>. United in spirit and fellowship, this special gathering created a sacred space for renewal under the theme: \u201cPilgrims of Hope.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The day began with a reverent invocation of Scripture and song, led by Sr. Georgeanne Marie Donnovan SMSM<\/strong>. Her deep spirituality and love for sacred music drew all into a contemplative reflection on a Gospel passage from St. Mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fr. Ramesh Vanan SJ<\/strong> served as the day\u2019s spiritual guide, opening with a personal invitation: \u201cWhat is one thing you hope for?\u201d<\/em> This question sparked small group conversations about the signs of hope<\/strong> that still shine in today\u2019s world\u2014even amid uncertainty and pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fr. Ramesh\u2019s presentation offered a rich explanation of the Jubilee 2025 logo<\/strong>, breaking down its visual elements and their theological significance. He encouraged all present to live with intentionality as Pilgrims of Hope<\/strong>\u2014people who seek and share the light of Christ even in places burdened by despair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur witness is not passive,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is a bold statement of faith that refuses to give in to hopelessness.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n After the keynote session, participants entered into a time of Eucharistic Adoration<\/strong> and personal prayer. Sacramental confession<\/strong> was offered to all who wished to renew their hearts before the Lord. It was a grace-filled moment that allowed space for silence, healing, and spiritual intimacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The community then came together over a humble and symbolic soup and bread meal<\/strong>, lovingly donated by the Missionaries of the Poor, the Franciscan\/Servite Sisters, and the Marist Brothers<\/strong>\u2014a gesture of solidarity that reflected the simplicity and unity of religious life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The day concluded with group sharing<\/strong>, where participants spoke of renewed purpose and plans for future gatherings.
